You are now standing at the remains of a gunpowder magazine. This magazine was used for the mining in Älvehultsbrotten. The quarry workers used gunpowder to blast the boulders loose. Dynamite had too much firepower. The use of gunpowder was a risky work, and accidents occurred when it did not go as planned.
